Competition

  • There are two periods in which competitions are being played. Autumncompetion is played from September – November. Springcompetion is played from January – April.
  • A competition consists of 10 matches (5 homematches, and 5 awaymatches).
Away matches are usually in the area Leiden/The Hague/Gouda/Rotterdam.
  • There are two types of competition:
    – Regular competition (for Youth and Senior). Teams of 3 players. Every Saturday (Youth) or evening (Senior) 10  matches will be played (every player plays 3 single-matches against every player of the other team. Additional, one double-match will be played.
    – Duo-competion (only for seniors). Teams of 2 players. Every evening 5 matches will be played (both players play 2 single-matches against both players of the other team. Additional, one double-match will be played.
  • It is possible to have more players registered in a team than described above. In that case, the players have to play according to a rotation system.
  • For every match won, the team receives a point. The maximum amount of points that can be gained in one evening is therefore ten (if played in the type of competition with three players) or five (if played in the type of competition with two players). At the end of the competition, each team can have a score ranging from 0 to 100 (or from 0 to 50). Obviously, the team with the most points will be the champion.
